BYOC stands for Bring Your Own Content. MegaOke does not host copyrighted karaoke tracks. This tool allows users to compile their own legally obtained MIDI files, local MP4 videos, or public YouTube links into a format readable by the MegaOke Web Player.
Absolutely not. This web application relies on 100% client-side processing using the modern HTML5 File API and WebAssembly. Your `.cidx` and `.cblob` files are compiled locally inside your own browser's memory and saved directly to your hard drive.
To remain compliant with YouTube's Terms of Service, we never download or rip video files. When you add a YouTube ID, the exported pack simply stores the text URL. During playback, MegaOke utilizes the official YouTube IFrame API to dynamically embed and stream the video natively.
The compiler generates two files: A .cblob (Content Blob) which safely bundles all your media together, and a .cidx (Custom Index) which tells the MegaOke database the titles, artists, skip-times, and byte offsets required to play your files instantly.
